NEW ZEALAND

INFORMATION ABOUT NEW ZEALAND
PROJECT NZ
BASICS:
Find group members (max = 4) and register with names and topic.
At the end, you will get a final grade. Our next class test will be an oral one.
TOPICS:
History, Geography & Climate, Wildlife & Nature, Cities & Population, Sports & Culture, School System
STEP 1: RESEARCH
= collecting information about your topic
DO NOT FORGET:
no overuse of wikipedia and ChatGPT / no overuse of numbers and dates (round them if possible) / do not simply copy from the internet / always use your own words / list your sources (google is NO source)
STEP 2: PowerPoint Presentation
Create an interesting PPP:
-
Keep slides clean and simple – One main idea per slide, minimal text (keywords and / or sentences).
-
Use visuals wisely – Images, charts, and diagrams communicate faster than text. Make them relevant and high quality.
-
Consistent design – Stick to one color scheme, font style, and layout throughout. Consistency looks professional.
-
Highlight key points – Use bold, color, or animation sparingly to draw attention to the essentials, but do not overdo it.
-
Practice your presentation – Write down notes, know your content, speak clearly, and do not just read the slides.
STEP 3: HANDOUT
TOP: your name, form, level of English, teacher´s name, topic, month and year
MIDDLE: most important information to understand your topic (include photos, statistics, …) / new vocabulary explained in E – E
BOTTOM: top three sources
STEP 4: QUIZ
Create an interesting and challenging quiz.
Possible: word search, crossword, multiple choice, Kahoot, ...
STEP 5: PRESENTATION AND QUIZ
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- you are a team – work together 😊
- always have all your information at hand (use an USB device, etc…)
- work hard in class and talk as much English as possible
- be prepared: even if one group member is not present at the day of your final presentation, you will present anyway
