OUR KAHOOT / JUNE 2025

 

Create a Kahoot quiz with 15 to 20 questions that covers as many topics as possible from what we learned this school year.

  • Use a variety of question types (e.g., multiple choice, true/false).

  • Make sure the questions are challenging but fair.

  • Include at least 3 visual elements (images or graphs) to make the quiz more engaging.

  • Be ready to present your Kahoot and explain why you chose your questions.

 

📝 English Class Test #4 (Project-Based Task)

Topic: The English-Speaking World

 

Type: Written Project | Partner work MAY be possible - check with me first

✅ Your Task:

Choose a topic related to the English-speaking world.
Examples of possible topics:

  • An English-speaking country (e.g. Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand)

  • A city (e.g. London, New York, Cape Town)

  • A TV show or movie (e.g. Stranger Things, Harry Potter)

  • A celebrity or band (e.g. Taylor Swift, The Beatles)

  • A tradition, festival, or cultural event

  • A social issue (e.g. racism, climate change)

📄 Step 1: Create a FACT SHEET (1 page)

This is your overview page. Use keywords or short sentences.

Include:

  • Title

  • Basic facts (What? Where? Who? When? Why important?)

  • Key vocabulary (names, dates, places)

  • 1–2 pictures with source (URL)

Make it clear, creative, and informative!

✍️ Step 2: Write a TEXT (about 200)

Write one page in your own words about your topic.

  • Use present tense (unless writing about history)

  • Write in paragraphs (introduction – main part – short ending)

  • No copy-paste – use your own sentences

  • You can describe, explain, or give your opinion

🖼️ Step 3: Add Pictures

Add 1–2 pictures that match your topic.
Don’t forget the source (website link) under each picture.

🗂️ What to Hand In:

  • Your Fact Sheet (page 1)

  • Your Text (page 2)

  • Pictures with source info

  • All on paper or printed – hand in together
